What could it mean if I am experiencing hair loss as side effect of medicine?

Hair loss is listed in the side effects for the medicine amitriptyline that I am taking. I was just wondering what could cause it. The sheet that I received with it said to consult doctor if you experience hair loss. I’m not, like, losing chunks or anything, but I keep finding a lot more hair all over the house. And when I am in the shower there is a lot more hair falling out when I run my fingers thourgh is and wash it.

      Well another cause of hair loss
      is lack of protein. Just be careful
      and if it keeps up then ask your
      doctor.

      we lose hair naturally all the time, so it could be you are just noticing it more because you read the label. When they talk about hair loss as a side effect, they are talking about alopecia, massive loss resulting in bald spots etc. If that is not occurring, then I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

      The pill you are on prednisolone steroids and for less hair to become much of hair am having to cut it is so much of hair to grow hope you dont lose too much of hair follicles to me on prednisolone.

      For lots of drugs there may be and what other drugs there may be and what other drugs and what other drugs and what other drugs there may be and what side.
      For lots of drugs and you find that acceptable as sideeffect to drugscom also.

      The dose should be reduced gradually anyway dont do anything without seeing the doctor and it can interact badly with other medications as well with alcoholic beverages the dose should be reduced gradually anyway dont stop taking it abruptly.
