What can I do to prevent hair loss if I applied a relaxer (Lye) and didnt use a neutralizing shampoo?

On Thurs. I applied an Optimum Multi-Mineral reduced pH relaxer to my virgin hair, I rinsed it out immediately after it started to burn (which was not pass the allotted time) I then used Aphogee Deep Moisture Shampoo followed by the 2 minute reconstrucerizer. What can I do to prevent hair loss due to not neutralizing?
