What is the Sikh perspective on an natural or necessary loss of hair?

I understand tht hair is precious in the Sikh ideology, but what is the perspective of natural hair loss? Such as from combing, age, or the natural bald spots babies get on the back of their heads?
And what about when it is medically indicated? Such as shaving for surgery? Or combing a baby’s hair to lift if cradle cap, which can take some hair off with it?
