What can I do about extreme hair loss?

I am 21 and don’t have insurance to go see a doctor about my hair loss. I used to have very healthy thick hair and it’s been about 6 years that I’ve noticed hair loss. Recently I noticed it’s been very extreme, the front of my hair is very short and basically very thin and no hair. It won’t grow! I use Wen for my cleanser but my hair still keeps falling a lot. I would really appreciate any advice.
