What is the best natural way to prevent hair loss?

Jon asked:

I am 27 male and starting to notice a slight thinning in my hair. My brother is 6 years older and pretty thin on top. I want to do everything I can to prevent it from getting worse. I heard that boiling sage in water and letting it soak on your head can help. I also have heard of nioxin. Anyone know the most effective way to prevent hair loss?

My Cat seems to be experiencing some hair loss around the opening to her ears? Any ideas why?

My 4 year old cat appears quite healthy, but I just noticed that she seems to have a little bit of hair loss around the opening to her ears. Could be from scratching, but I am not sure.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Rhonda

Is there a possible connection between endometriosis and hair loss? What’s the solution to these problems? The doctor prescribed birth control pills, but it made me feel depressed. Now what?

How do you treat dandruff related hair loss?

April 4th, 2009 | Posted in hair loss   Comments Off
Tash ♥RIP Deb♥ asked:

I switched hair products two weeks ago and I have allergies so I guess my skin must be sensitive to it because my scalp dried out and then I got bad dandruff which is odd for me as it’s never been a problem before. Now my hair is falling out more than normal (a lot more). I read on several medical sites that severe dandruff can cause hair loss, but didn’t mention a treatment.
Will treating the dandruff with medicated shampoos solve the hair loss as well? I’ll be seeing my doctor in a few days but am interested in how to treat this from any one knowledgeable or has experience in this area.
Thanks!

Karl

What is the best way to handle female hair loss post-partum?

soccermommyof3 asked:

My husband hates wigs…I can’t afford expensive weaves.
What can I do to best deal with hair loss along my front hairline? (I was already told this is normal post-partum hair loss and that it will grow back over time.) Currently, I am wearing twists and have been wearing headbands to cover up the short hair spots.

How long would the drug have to be taken before hair loss would start, and how long after stopping medications, before hair is back to normal.
